We at Vought Bass Club and the Optimist Club of Grand Prairie have scheduled our 3rd annual Big Bass Bonanza at Joe Pool Lake for May 19th, 2007 at Lynn Creek Park. There will be a $40 entry fee per person with hourly paybacks. We are pleased to announce that our Grand Prize again will be a Peacock Bass fishing trip to Brazil valued at $6000.00. See the attachment below for last years brochure showing the sponsors and the winners.

Where else can you fish for $40, launch for free, get a shirt, have a good meal from Applebees, from 200-400% payback with all the door prizes and at the same time be supporting the youth of the community.

This is a great opportunity. If it is anything like it was the first year they had a weigh in every hour and each hour they had cash prizes for like 1st - 5th place. Great way to earn some cash on Joe Pool!

So since Joe Pool is a slot lake , how does this work?
Would it be the biggest bass over 21" for that hour or would it be the biggest bass under 14" ?

The largest (3) legal fish ever hour wins hourly cash and prizes and is in the running for the first place big bass of the tournament for an all expense paid trip to Brazil including all air fares from DFW and back plus all lodgins,meals,etc.Most of the hourly cash went to contestants who weighed in fish under (2)lbs.
This is a fun tournament with lots of donated prizes to be given to the contestants.Alot of the prizes are given away to entered contestants by drawings held after the tournament.Look at (www.voughtbass.com)click on the picture of the bass and see all the winners and prizes given away.This year is going to be bigger and better!!!!

We had (4) contestants pay to enter our 2007 Big Bass Bonanza as soon as our final weigh in at our 2006 tournament,so they would be the first to go out this year!This is really a fun event and has a lot of prizes and cash,and it raises a lot of money for the educational programs sponsored by the Optimist Club of Grand Prairie.
