My wife and I are headed to Broekn bow for a few days over Thanksgiving and looks like the weather is going to be nice enough to drag the boat with us. Will be staying in Hocha Town area. Any tips, must-do's or don't even think about its?
Thanks.

Contact Bryce Archie, 870-582-4561, local guide. He might can give you some tips on the lake. I imagine the walleye bite is good right now.

Honey Hole All Outdoors Bill Wilcox was there a few weeks ago. Here is the link to that episode. Might help some. He usually talks about do's don't and cautions on lakes he visits. Good Luck. http://alloutdoorsmedia.com/episodes/page/2/
Never argue with an idiot...he'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Talked to Jerry Walthall who is a good guide there. Met him at the ramp at carson creek. Said the fishing was very good if you stay on main lake points and bluffs. Spots were 2 to 6 foot and largemouths were deeper at 10 t0 15. Caught 30 on texas rigged zoom trick worms in green pumpkin. Very important to use flouro in 10 to 12 pound test. Very important here. Give my cabins a look as I try to tell all my customers what is going on at the lake. deercrkretreat.com. Have fished the lake for 30 years.

It's not fishing, but 30 minutes north of Broken Bow is the Talimena Drive. It runs on top of a mountain ridge from Talihina, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas. It is a very scenic drive and this time of the year the foliage colors should be beautiful. If you do not want to do the complete drive, you can break it off at various points to return to Broken Bow.
Also, have a steak at Abendigo's in Hochatown.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Largmouthokie- Thanks. We talked. Wife wanted a secluded cabin good for reading and total privacy (think she has a lil sumpnsumpn in mind?).
Retired Fisherman- Abendigo's is on the list for Friday night. Thanks for the tip. I likes a good steak. I think we are going tom some pizza place Saturday night. Just may give that Talimena Drive a shot.
Thanks gents!
