never get to water early enough to see that, but have seen more than my share of sunsets and moon rises while filling a stringer.

Some folks call it the 'Golden Hour'. I find myself sometimes just putting the rod down on my lap, and looking up into the sky, into the swaying tree-tops, and just listening to the wildlife settling in for the evening. A good sunset is worth the price of admission all by itself.
I wish I could enjoy sunrises on the lake more, but I am usually too busy drinking coffee and blearily looking at my latest semi-unconscious bait cast and trying to come to life.

Sunrise and sunset are both greatness.
Sunset gives me a more peaceful feeling.
Sunrise gives me a pep up!
I'm guessing that first shot is sunset...

yes this was a sunset...it was awesome...it was hot and humid but it was still a beautiful thing to see.

I agree wholeheartedly, Musiclife_7. Even if I don't catch a fish it's nice to be out looking over the water, feeling a breeze, and enjoying everything around me. I was fishing a small neighborhood pond last Thursday evening and heard some coyotes yelping in the woods right at sunset. I didn't catch a fish that night...missed a hookset....but marked the trip down as a success because of hearing the calls of coyotes in a suburban area. Such a beautiful sound.
