I know Monti gets a lot of traffic during the week of Thanksgiving so I thought I would save everyone some time. Don't go there. There are zero stacks running and the water temps were 52-55 on both the North and South ends of the lake. I didn't even venture that far North because the temps were so low. Fished a little less than 3 hours with not a single bite and I know my way around that place pretty well. Supposedly they are gonna have 1 stack back on line some time in December and that will help a lot, but for my time and money I would fish Cypress, Sandlin or Fork instead. Welsh is always an option but it will be PACKED next week.

Thanks for the report, this will save a lot of people time, money and frustration who were planning a Thanksgiving Monticello trip.
Hopefully December they will be back online and generating.

Yep. We were there yesterday. 50 to 55. Not a bite. Left after 3 hours and went to welsh.

You know it's really sad what this forum has come to. No matter what is posted there are at least a handful of guys that just want to be negative about it. Tell you what....I take it all back. Monti is ON!!! Everyone should go every day next week. The frog bite is nuts!!

Happy Thanksgiving. You won't see me out there.

Cut the dam on Monticello and have one big lake get rid of the slot to on that lake. If they not going to generate.

How can we get the Texas Park and wildlife to change the slot on that lake? Has ever come up any?

Chris probably catches more fish over 6 lbs out of Monticello than anybody I know and is a heck of a guy. Whatever he says you can take it to the bank.
