God Bless America! (no snakes like that except in cages)
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

wow cool pics, but isnt that a lot like tugging on supermans cape My thoughts exactly! I would never get that close to that thing, not by choice anyway.
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

I have in fact run across one of these on the Rio Negro tributary of the Amazon. We were out looking for Camen, we were dead tired of fishing so we learned how to catch crocs by hand, and we saw something knocking down small growth trees along the shoreline. When we got close and I was ready to pounce, the guide saw that it wasn't a Camen. When he saw it was a huge Anaconda he wrenched the tolling motor in the other direction and got us out of there quick. There is no such thing as handling them in the water and surviving. If you are going to attempt it, such as your friend did, you must be on your feet.
Where punters are punted.

Nice, those are great looking snakes! I still would rather look at them on picture, than real life!
I would rather have a bad day fishing, than a good day at the office!
