 I need help upgrading my head lights

Hello, I have a 2004 f150 lariat and a 2013 f150 lariat. After buying the 2013 I have come to realize that my old yellow looking headlights on my 2004 suck. I have tried looking through the forums for help but I don't understand differences in bulbs, Hids, LEDs, and projector type lights. I have a $250 spending limit to upgrade my headlights and fogs lights. Thanks for any advise.
