I posted this on the CAG board as well....... Hi all ! I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. This means....... After the first of the year, a carper's mind turns to one thing.... THE ATC ! And I need a partner..... I live in the North Texas area. Is anybody interested ? I am not a serious carper (i.e. not a "Euro" angler), but just as passionate as anyone here. Any takers ? Please holler at me via this board if you are. This thing is a blast and I would like to do this again. I did take the time off of work already ! THANKS EVERYONE ! jeff

Yeah! I'm still around. I've just been thinking and waiting to see if anyone else replies. Hhhhmmmmm! Let's see: Musky fishing in Canada in August or Carp fishing in Austin in March? Man! This is a tough one! I've already got a week fishing trip set for Missouri in May then our annual trip up there over the Fourth of July. Then either this or Canada. I need to save 1 week for my wife, I guess. My vacation time is starting to stretch thin. Jeff, How many days off do I need for the ATC? I am normally off Thursday, Friday and Saturday anyway. I am scheduled to return to work at 10 PM Sunday. If I could do it with personal days Wednesday and Sunday I'll do it with you. That gives me 5 days off. Is that enough time? Oh yeah! I know basically nothing about carp fishing except what I learned at Emma Long last month and what I have picked up on this forum. I am willing to learn, though. We might have to schedule a trip or 2 before the ATC for practice. Kevin

Man are you in luck !!! The CORN BOIL is Thursday night, fishing Friday & Saturday, and Saturday night is the banquet,,,nothing on Sunday, so you can head on home !!! you will find that the fishing is very varied, from bait casters to Euro Style, from sophisticated boilie concoctions to just pllain old sweet corn...choose your tactic,,,and come on down ! here's the information last year treetop, fished with the infamous "PHONE" about as UNconventional carp angler as you can find,,,uses Zebcos, and 3 years ago he won the event with Brian !

Jeff, I have the days off and my wife approved it. It's her birthday weekend so I had to check. She is going with me to spend time with our daughter over the weekend so we can't share a room. She also wants to go to the banquet with me so she can meet all of these weird people I have been telling her about. Are we on? Kevin
