So looks like Platinum Equity owns Ranger now and fishing boats, they sold off recreation boats this summer.
I think Irwin Jacobs still owns most of FLW, but T Boone Pickens has some ownership too.

I think Irwin Jacobs still owns most of FLW, but T Boone Pickens has some ownership too.
Really!!! But isn't Boone Pickens part owner of BASS?

Really!!! But isn't Boone Pickens part owner of BASS? I have never seen or heard that Pickens has anything to do with Bass . I knew at one time Jacobs said he was in with FLW

Here's the Wiki on FLW. FLW Wiki It has a link to the announcement that Pickens became an equity partner in FLW. Some of the info appears to be outdated since it refers to Jacobs owning Genmar including Ranger which changed in 2010.

Pickens does not own part of BASS. It's news (to me) that he owns part of FLW. Platinum has owned Ranger et al (Stratos, Triton too) since the Jacobs-owned Genmar bankruptcy (2009, I believe) but is now looking to unload the bass boat brands. If anyone has other info, love to hear it / learn!

I wonder if Platinum will sell Ranger, Triton, and Stratos as seperate entities. It would also be something to see a Champion comeback.

The man has his finger in a LOT of things I kinda remember an old rumor . That "T. Bone" as we call him since he left my home town... had invested or bought into FLW. Here is a paste from part of a lawsuit from his son who claims his dad invested 10 million.. T. Boone Pickens became an equity partner in FLW Outdoors in August 2010 and immediately added $100,000 of his own money to the winner's purse for that year's Forrest Wood Cup. The following season, Randy Blaukat represented the Pickens Plan (a series of coordinated steps designed to wean America off of Middle East oil) under an FLW team deal.
