lodging ? Sorry I got a mental picture of those lumber jack competitions in the Northwest where someone is in the water on a log trying to stay on it while it spins...

Cabins in downtown Austin may be hard to find. For best value and security suggest a hotel/motel a little further out of town i.e. Round Rock, Pflugerville or Georgetown.

Camping is your best option. City park has tent camping and RV sites with electric right on the water. It is first come first serve, I do it a few times a year. The other option is VRBO, the homes in the area are very pricey.

Fished Austin a month. Stayed at the Extended Stay Studio 6. Only 15 minutes to the 360 launch but would not recommend it. No boat parking among other's.

Holiday Inn express in Lakeway, launch at Quinlan. There's no cabins for rent anywhere near the lake.

La Hacienda RV resort on Hudson Bend Road off RR620 has some cottages that sleep 6 and is close to the Quinlan ramp. For one or two people kinda pricey, but split 6 ways makes it very affordable and you also can likely park your boat right outside the cottage where you can keep an eye on it versus staying at a hotel.

Fixed it for ya.

We dropped 1750/night for a decent place on Dunlap. I doubt you'll get anything under 3,000 on Lake Austin if there was such a place.

I do believe commercial logging is prohibited.

Hill Country Inn in Marble Falls is where we stay to fish Lake Austin. Plenty of room to park your boats if you get the rooms facing Hwy 281. Its about 30 miles from Quinlan park ramp. We also fish Lake LBJ a couple days while we are there. Its 10 minutes from the room.
