Great pics! What camera did you use??? those pics with the smooth looking running water required some skills setting up the camera

BTW how was the fishing?

Thank you sir! It's a Nikon D3200 with a 28 - 80mm f1.8.
We caught some fish, nothing big, but it was CROWDED. I spent more time with the camera that I did a fly rod. Had a hard time setting up shots without people in the background ( or the foreground for that matter ). Weather was awsome.

Great shots right there I'm surprised it was still crowded this late. Got a love those cypress trees they are absolutely beautiful. Not too fun when you take off jogging and trip over at Cypress knee and almost get one to the chin on your way to the ground though don't ask me how I know LOL.

I think no more crowded than the blue river...I went for my first time last weekend without knowing there was a derby going on...

Great pics! I was looking at that exact camera. Good deal on it at Best Buy this week. You just sold me on my Christmas present! Thanks!

Robert - thank you. I think the weather had a lot to do with the crowds, especially with the prediction of the " polar vortex" coming.

Osedma - the thing I like about the Blue is that there are a lot of places to hike into and get away from the crowds. I love the Mountain Fork but the access is way to easy. Just my opinion.

Texan - I think you will be happy with it. The controls are easy to operate and I like that it's small enough to not take up to much room in my back pack and is very light - doesn't wear my shoulders out. With the f1.8 lens it's plenty fast enough to capture all the action of a fighting fish.

Bissett - thank you sir. All I can tell you is grab a rod and go!

I really like the shot of the Cypresses across the river. I caught a large brown last winter in the deep hole below the little waterfall below Cold Hole. It was pretty trashed. It's nose, especially, was all torn up. I wondered if it got that way from tending its redd, maybe up Spillway Creek, or if it kept getting caught by fishermen.

No sir, the evening hole - you couldn't even find a place to park much less fish in there. We mainly fished down from the old upper foot bridge. I have seen some big fish there in the fall as well but not this time. I did catch a brown that was, maybe, elevin inches but I'm to embarrassed to post a picture of it after those monsters you've been putting up here wink

I LOVE them all but 7,8 and 10 something else.
Those are great and thanks for sharing. We have a cabin booked for our family Christmas Dec 12-15 and I can hardly weight.
