its always fun when your line is freezing as you are reeling it up and nothing like running across the lake at 60-70mph while the temp is in the low teens. now i have a pussface mask and cold weather gear so im good as long as the fish are cooperating. its hard to put a limit cause there are alot of variables when its windy, humid and 40 is worse to me than no humidity and being in the low 20's.

For YEARS I had no cut off for weather of any kind.. . Not so much anymore. Now days: Unless I prepaid an entry fee, It does not bother me one bit to stay home if I even think it will be cold enough to make ice in my rod guides.

Well, I'm older. When I'm 'cold', it's not fun any more. That's why I started fishing - it is fun. Nope, I'll stay off the water, out of the rain, out of the freezing temps and wait for the many great days we have here in Texas and just enjoy those. Worrying about frozen water, slippery ramps, can I get there, can I get home? nope, ya'll go and put the 'fish tales' on here. I'll read'em

For me it is the other conditions, wind and rain, with the cold. Never really to cold if no wind or rain.

There is no temperature or condition I won't fish in.

Lake Fork Guide Tournament was about my maximum capacity for cold weather and still have fun. The waves would freeze on the sides of the stumps and water temps were 37-39.

When my jig lands and just skids across the ice. Then what? Get out the "punch bait"? Haha. I just don't get the ice fishing dudes and the little rods. Just doesn't seem like fun. But, driving out to the best spot on the lake, that sounds cool. Get there. Drill a hole. Fish.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Had one of my best days fishing at Squaw Creek in 30 degrees and a 25 mph North wind... you do the math.
