What is your cold weather clothing set up? I know most people wear the bibs and parkas.
What shoes do you wear that are both waterproof and warm?
What kind of gloves do you like?

Gortex bibbs & coat when raining. For the rest of the cold water fishing I still wear one of the old nylon insulated one piece snowmobile suits by Walls. Can layer as much or as little underneath as I need, it blocks the wind and I can move around in it, easy access zippers for "getting rid of your coffee". Plus it makes me look like Ralphie's little brother when his mom bundeled him up to go outside on The Christmas Story!

They are fleece lined. Not waterproof, but should be pretty warm.

+1. I bought an expedition grade top and bottom from an army surplus store.
These will keep you warm in the coldest weather.
My big problem is I've never found gloves that keep my hands warm and still give my fingers freedom of movement so I can fish.

For me, it is all about layers. I start with Polyester base layers. Then regular thermal over those. Then if super cold, I will then put on some sweat pants, then jeans. On top, I will wear up to 3 of the light weight fleece jackets and then a big coat. Of course then add rain gear if needed.
By having so many layers, yet they are pretty thin, I can always dress up or down to the changing conditions throughout the day. Over the past 4 years of winter tournament fishing, I have learned that the polyester base layer has been the most important. I have not got cold down to 16 degrees with these layers. I also found some polyester gloves that are awesome. They are incredibly warm to be so paper thin and still have great sensativity.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

My hands are the main issue fishing. Duck hunting for years taught me to blow off gloves, buy jackets with warm pockets, and keep my hands in my pockets unless I am shooting or blowing a duck call. Duck hunting gloves would probably work well for fishing and be pretty resistant to water, etc.

I wear good long underwear I bought in Colorado, wool socks, insulated boots, jeans, a polar fleece, BPS Pro Qualifier rain parka and bib to keep the wind off me, and insulated gloves while running. I can't stand to wear gloves while actually fishing so I don't. I keep HotHands in my pockets and sometimes inside my gloves. On really rare occasions, as in below 20 degrees, I wear a toboggan on my head.
