Couple weeks ago I had a fish pop all the rivets in my rail mounts, spun the whole rail around and rods were in water because I had my drag locked down....luckily saved the rods but it snapped my 65lb suffix braid like a twig! Then last week I had a fish destroy a high speed abu gear because my drag was over tightened! Sure sucks learning the hard way hammer

I'm gonna miss her....

Most shore fisherman would be shocked to see how light there drags were set, if they tested them on a scale!

I'd Tack That!!

ya i dont think that is gunna be anywhere near accurate, youre tellin me it has almost twice as much drag as a penn senator 6/0 shark/deep sea reel?!? that company needs to retest theere drag sensors

About 3lbs of drag is a good general rule for initial takedown...u can alway adjust it once u sense tha size of tha fish.

Lots of variables happening in about 3 seconds...u need all tha grace u can get and a semi light drag = grace!

Abu 6500 with the drag locked down will anchor my 24 foot pontoon in 10 mph wind when hung up . I haven't had any issues with drag on catfish with abu and I think tjere at like 17 or so lbs
