Hey guys and gals. Does anyone out there have have any way to store individual bags of soft plastics? I'm thinking about using a double deep plano box but I wanted to see If anyone had any better ideas. I want to make it so I can just easily thumb thru my softpastics and quickly grab the one I want.

I've tried the tubs and they just don't fit right.

I've gone to large gallon ziplock freezer bags divided up by style or brand baits.

Yea I was thinking about that but I just didn't know if it would be as easy to find any given lure in a ziplock bag because they might shift to the bottem

its pretty easy. And they don't move around too much the way I pack them into it.

Large zip locks like everyone else said. However my buddy puts his individual backs into toiletry travel bags to protect them and it works very well.

Use a 19 inch "toolbox". You can fit 2 rows of plastic baits in the bottom and usually about 10 bags per side. So you can arrange 20 bags of baits in any combination of styles or colors. The top tray can be used for weights and hooks. I throw a few swim baits or crankbaits on one side and use a small Plano 5 row tray to keep hooks and weights in. A, (actually 2) 19 inch toolbox fits real nice in the Storage area of a Skeeter. Makes thumbing thru bags of plastic baits real easy.

I use the plastic shoeboxes that you can buy at Wal-Mart. They work perfect for everything except 10"+ worms. For those I buy a slightly bigger shoe-type box.

Storage bins/containers from Walmart work too, something about this size:

11"x6 5/8"x5"

Can downsize height, but these are the styles I like, and fairly cheap.

I dont carry tons of plastics. I use the binder type bags with ziplocks inside. I have three binders. One each for Worms, Creatures and Swimbaits..

Here is what I have started to do since this year and it has really worked. I have two water proof Plano boxes idk what size they are extract my but they are deeper than average box. I put the plastics I plan to use for my tournament or fishing day in them. The rest of my baits go in zip lock baggies in back storage. Like change out what these Plano boxes have every weekend. But usually always have finesse worms, baby brush Hogs, senkos and a couple different jig trailers

The Walmart bins work great for me. My center storage on my Cougar will hold two rows of three across and stack three high. It would hold 18 but I don't need that many, I think I'm using 10. That leaves plenty room for a toolbox, folding net and such.
I have them separated by type and works great to file through quickly to make a selection.

I just buy a small 3 ring binder from the office supply section at Walmart and hole puncher. Punch 3 holes in bottom of the bags and clip them in the binder. Can flip thru it like a book, open bag and reseal easily. No digging thru bags or boxes necessary and always know when I am getting low
