I was just wondering how many folks have been lucky enough to do this. I saw someone snag two 3lb bass on crankbait once, but that is it.

I have actually done it twice. The first time was on Canyon lake, had a 3lb bass on the front and a dink on the back. Then again on Stillhouse 15" bass on the back and a white on the front. Both times were on chrome blue Rat-L-Traps. You really think you have a hog on trying to get them both in. JR

I haven't had that happen to me in freshwater,Did hook up with trout once throwing a top water. Saw in another forum where someone had a yellow fin and a blackfin on two asset hooks.

About ten years ago we used to fish a place called White Lake, in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth. It is now posted, No Fishing, but there used to be so many crappie there, several people would catch two fish on one lure, just about every time we went! We would take 2 man bass busters out to the middle of the pond, and when we found them we would catch the crappie one right after another, often times without any bait on the hook! They were so thick they would be banging into the bottom of the boat so hard you would think they were nocking themselves out. lol

I fish a double fluke rig quite a bit using a three way swivel. In private lakes I get doubles all of the time. The second fish has to self hook itself but it happens alot. Tie one fluke about 18" and the second one at 24'. They swim awesome.

My 11 year old son has done it twice. About 2 years ago at Medina Lake on a chug-bug, both fish were about 13" each. He did it again on Amistad back in November with a 3.5 and l lb. bass caught on a DD-14. My other son who is 16 and I have never done this. Only my little guy. He always fishes BIG!!! He caught a 8.5 lb LMB on a chug bug at Choke Canyon this past Memorial Day.

I once got this just massive explosion on a spitting image @ lake Vail in CA, ended up with a 5lb on the front and a 2.5lb fish on the back.

I've fished a 2-hook rig for white bass from the bank at Somerville and sometimes doubled up. That was always exciting.

I've done it a few times. The most memorable one was on a popper I carved myself. First cast ever with it, huge explosion, bass on both hooks. I put it on the shelf after that. That's like batting 2000, can't go anywhere but down from there

Haven't caught 2 on one lure, but this summer my daughter crossed my line with her cast, a bass picked up her jig and then swam about 10 yards to the side and grabbed my jig! I thought I had hooked her line at first, but ended up taking both jigs out of the bass.

It's a lot more common than you think. Especially when bass are schooling.
