anyone finds a 10' pro angler cork rod with a wavespin reel attached to a big striper its mine. 10 year old was supposed to be watching my rods...well it pulled the rod holder out and left drag marks to the water.

I feel your pain. Stripers have destroyed lots of my gear over the last three years since I retired. A good example was Thursday at Texoma. I puled my boat over close to the bank to fix a boat issue in 3-4 foot of water out of the wind. When I got done, I noticed that one of my poles had gotten a hit and the fish had broken the number 7 swivel and took off with with my jig. Had a similar hit at Pk 2 years ago that boke a Shimano rod.

It may be a cat pulling your rod into water.

It may be a cat pulling your rod into water. not likely though. i have caught 40# blues that is like dragging a log. sure they fight gor about 15 seconds. thats why i think its so gunny whrn people talk about blues being so bad when noodling. striper put up a fight that no blue ever will.

I agree with you on blues

I caught this cat below on a chartreuse Gulp bait and 15 lb test line. It hardley pulled any drag until I got it to the surface. The 10 lb stripers I've caught fought much much harder.
