My personal best? Caught it on a Falcon Amistad rod, Lews Tournement Pro w/50lb braid. Was throwing a 10" Berkley Power Bait worm that was dark green with green flake. Texas rigged. Saw a swirl on the bank and cast right up to the edge, in about 10-12" of water and 2-3' from the bank. Twitch, twitch...BAM! It started pulling line and about 45 seconds later it was immortalized forever(or at least until I break it) in my iPhone.
It was right at 12lbs 9oz. That was less than a week ago. Two days later, I caught one almost the same size, but I didn't have my scale, so can't prove it was as big. That one was at the same place, but everything different. That one was on my St.Croix with a 7.9 Steez 100XS. 12lb Seagaur Red Label. Towing a KVD 1.5 Tennesee Shad square bill. Cast out about 50-60'. Big boy hit it about 2 ft from the bank. Right before I lifted it out to recast (bank fishing). Could have been the same fish, but I doubt it. I think the other one might have still be recovering.

I have two both right at or above eight pounds, one ounce rattle trap chrome on RR in a foot of water, and another on a 10xd sexy shad on Fork.
