My nefew, now 14 yrs old, is going through a very hard time in his life. This week he is at cook's children under going major testing to find out if he is a candidate for brain surgery. He has been through more in his life than most will go through in a life time. The Dr's do not know why, maybe this testing will pinpoint why, but he has seizures and has been on medications most of his young life. Things we take for granted such as sweeping my nefew can not do because of his learning disability. It breaks my heart that my nefew has gone through so much! As a young kid he fell in love with Boy Scouts, soccer and fishing. Well, because of the treatment of coaches, den leaders and the kids, my nefew has chosen not to participate in Boy Scouts or any sport. So that leaves fishing.

The tests at the hospital are mentally and physically draining for an adult so you can emagine what my nefew is going through. They stopped giving his medication and are purposely making him have seizures to try and pinpoint what is causing them. He has been in the hospital since Monday and will be there until Friday, so I am sure he is going to be one tired little boy when this is all over. So please keep him in your prayers!!

So I am asking, if I still had my boat I would do it, if anyone could find the time to take him and my brother out for a day chasing crappie I know it would lite up his life just enough to take is mind off what he is going through. I will help with gas, food and drinks, I just want him to have a great time. If anyone here is willing to help PLEASE let me know and I will get you set up with my brother. Neither of them know that I am trying to set something up for them and would like to make it a big surprise for Reid, my nefew, so if you have any ideas let me know. Can they go during the week?

If you can ignore the fact I fish from a little runabout boat rather than a fishing boat, they are welcome to come out with me and my family anytime. I fish Ray Roberts mostly and live in the Flower Mound area. Shoot me a PM and we'll see what we can arrange.

IF they could go with Lane, that'd be better though as Lane's a professional guide and knows a lot more than I do! I also hear he makes some good jigs!

I am sure they can go when ever. This means so much to me and I know Reid will love it!! I am like a big baby right now, my eyes are watering from such fast responses. Thanks guys!!

I'd offer and the offer is open, but my boat, although is very comfortable, has 2 seats. I have fished 3 & 4 out of it before and will again.
If you can set something up with Lane or monster crappie, you'd be better off

After that, we can do something here on Fork if you'd like, 3 people in my boat is not a problem
