I can't pass up this opportunity to fish in the rain any longer. It's time to get wet. We shall see how it goes.

I had 3" in my rain guage and it was raining all day long, just a gentle soaking rain! PLUS, last nights local weatherman says there is another good front coming in next Tuesday but, with much lower temps and great chance for more rain! Maybe El Nino is working for us now? I don't care as long as it keeps up.

Didn't get to fish yesterday but, Big Pappa and I went exploring again! Wow, so much great looking places to chase crappie! Looked at four new small lakes and all appear to be excellent places for crappie. And all of them close to home! Can't wait to try them all! The first 40 miles north of the Red River along the I-35 corridor looks even better than I had hoped for when I made the move north! Plus, they get very little pressure since there are so many great lakes in the NE part of Oklahoma! My dream come true for sure!

You Texas guys, eat your hearts out! My new lifetime hunting and fishing license cost me a whopping $15!!!!!!

Glad to hear you are finding so many new crappie holes. But didn't you have your own dock at Cedar Creek Lake? That would be hard to beat for me, having my own boat dock and being able to fish from it by just walking out to it.

Rub it in. roflmao

We paid $5 per year when we lived in Louisiana for the fish/hunt combo licenses, which is still not as good as what you are paying.

Texas charges my wife $12 a year for fresh water only, which is all she needs since we no longer hunt.

But wouldn't you be happier to give up these discounts if you could have a healthy young body again? roflmao

Hey Bob, when you invite me up to fish it don't cost me nothing! Seemed to Good to be true so I called the OK Fish Commission and confirmed it. I'm sure hunting is different though.

Bob, if you fish Broken Bow for crappie let me know how you do. I caught a two pounder out of the slips up there last February and looks like an awesome lake to fish.

Woody, you are welcome anytime you want to come up.
I can't remember for sure but, I got the lifetime combo, hunting and fishing for either $15 or $25. But, everyone has to pay $10 per year for Texoma, wheather you live in OK or TX.

Stucky, that is good to know. I haven't heard of anyone fishing for crappie on Broken Bow. It's a pretty good haul for me but, BB is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen. I used to hunt all around where the lake is now, many years ago. Spent deer season down there every year. Love that part of the world.
