 Bank Charger Just Stopped

I have a 2 bank charger, two years old, that maintains my 2 trolling motor batteries. When I plugged it in after coming back from the lake, it appears to be dead. None of the display lights come on and when I plug it in to my extension cord, I hear a slight pop not very loud.
I have disconnected and re-connected all cables and no change.
Do I just bite the bullet and buy a new one or what?

Did you try another electrical outlet?

Good idea....but changing the outlet didn't help

different extension cord perhaps...just trying to eliminate all gremlins....
