Last outing on O.H. Ivie, I lost 3 chatterbaits to some good fish. I tied them to the little wire clip that comes with the bait. I dont know if the clip cut my line or not. Is this the best place to tie on to a chatterbait, or the eye of the body? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Oh, and pray for rain.

Yes, what kind of line are you using?

That's the spot. Do you check for abrasions above your knot after each fish? What kind of cover were you fishing?

I was using 20 lb florocabron. I did not check for abrasion. I was fishing the tree tops up in Elm Creek.
Thanks for your help. I will definetly check my line better and tie on to the clip.

If the gap is real wide, squeeze it together with some pliers first.
Just make sure you look real close at the part your tieing to
