Any brand particularly easier to install / use than others? I'm going to add one to my skeeter

Regardless of the brand, I am partial to the aluminum construction.

I put one of the aluminum ones in my skeeter sx180 last fall and I love it. It took me about 2 hours to install it. I bought it from the skeeter dealer so I am not sure of the brand.

Just a quick tip. Consider extending the drain hose down into the keel of the hull well past the front of your rod lockers. Many of these units only have about a 23" hose. You need one that is 3-5'. It will drain the water to the right place instead of into your rod lockers.

every boat I own gets one first thing. I have major back problems and this helps.

Well, my first bass boat (one I own now - 2004 Stratos) came equipped with one. Man, I fished in a friends who did not have one - HUGE difference.
I have a bad back and left knee.....makes a tremendous difference and the dang thing isn't moving around ....no matter the brand, you should surely consider one!
God Bless.....(Walter recommends...LOL)

I've looked at these in the past, so what do you do just take a skill saw and cut
a hole in your deck then screw it down?

Troll Eze is the cheapest and easiest to install. Works great for me.
