Isn't this what the water treatment plants already do?

And what happens when this reclaimed water resivoir fills up and creates a habitat that promotes largemouth bass growth? Do we go and build another one?

Lake Fork Resivoir was created for this.

Frisco has been building out a reuse system since the first reuse pump station was built in 2001. The system has been expanded regularly as the city has grown. Many schools, common areas, and the Trails Golf Course use effluent for irrigation. Still a long way to go but there is a master plan and ongoing implementation.

Water treatment plants clean the incoming water so it becomes potable. Sewer treatment plants treat waste and a by-product is effluent water that typically is treated only well enough to route back into the creek/river system and flows to the downstream watershed. Re-use systems capture that effluent and treat it enough to be used for irrigation but that requires an entirely separate piping system, including pumping since elevated tanks are typically only built for the incoming/potable water as a way to pressurize the system.

A factual hunch. Dallas has NO water conservation measures in place.

The "It'll rain eventually" water plan seems pretty legit maybe the BRA will consult them lol.

Fact is that any reservoir's primary function is not to appease fishermen. Nor should it be. Imagine a world where the millions of dollars that would go into creating / maintaining a Lake Fork that was solely meant for fishing. Who does that expense get passed on to? Most people could not afford to fish it. And good luck finding an investment group that would be willing to put the money up in hopes that they could lure enough people to ever see a return on their money.

It's 6 foot low and that sucks. We were there last weekend and all you could do was dream of what it would look like at full pool, especially with all the growth that's popped up while it's down. I didn't see a single fish jumping onto the bank trying to get to their favorite clump of grass, stump, etc...

The fish are adjusting, that's what we'll have to do until the rains get it back.

Keep calm and fish on.

As one poster mentioned the last time this topic surfaced, Fork and Twok were build as water supply lakes. Why all the drama and faux intrigue about water being pumped from either one?

Due to delivery issues no water is yet going from Fork to Tawakoni for the ntmwd. Everything being pumped from Fork is going to the East Plant for Dallas

Please ask for a clarification on this sentence. As I undertsand it, the pipeline of fork water headed for Dallas is south of the dam and never enters tawakoni. NTMWD already has access to tawakoni water as they assumed the allotment of Terrell when they joined NTMWD
