Refine your question. Some of the gurus will chime in. R u fishing from a boat, want to live bait fish, artificial. What is ur experience level and begin with what u r accustom to fishing with, pole length ,line size etc and target fish.

I'm looking to go to Rowlett here soon and bank fish. I grew up in Oregon so I'm a river fisherman and used to Salmon, Steelhead fish. I tied my own marabou jigs for those but when it comes to hybrids or white bass I'm a n00b to say the least. I use a shimano 2500hd reel with alb test (Same i used for steelhead) I consider fishing a sport so might as well give the fish a fair chance and as far as the rod goes usually a 6 foot but mine just broke so that may change.
So to skip all that wanting to fish the sand bass/ white bass or hybrid run in rowlett coming up I'm just not sure what to use so any help would be great! I'm new to Texas fishing so not too sure about most kinds of fish or what to use around here so please be kind and share!
And if you need help with trout stuff come winter I can help you there!!

Sturgis. Send me a PM and I will give you a mess of stuff to get started. If you want to consistently catch big hybrids use live bait. I also have a mess of RSR flukes for dead sticking I will float you some as well. If you ask me live bait, RSR flukes and Ole Uglies is all you need. Any crappie jig will catch in Rowlett Creek.
