That's why the crappie end up in the creeks in the fall, they are just following the schools of shad.

I believe a crappie hit the slip cork on James's rod the other day!

Caught a good portion of my crappie the other day on Richland Chambers on shad. They were running up with my minnows and stealing them faster than I could correct. As I started to run out of minnows I just threw a cast net behind the boat at the 287 bridge and caught some shad. They hit the shad harder and to my surprise 10" fish were eating 2.5" shad. Fun experience.

Yeah, seen that at Cedar Creek and Texoma. It's awesome.

have seen them "flash" on the shoreline attacking long ribbon like rows of shad hugging the bank. Every so often you'd see a whitish/silver "flash", and there would be that many less shad in the ribbon. They went bonkers for my "firecracker" jig in the process. Enjoyed myself immensely!
