She hasn't done it in a couple years but asked me to take her out. Any of the barges/crappies houses around Dallas decent right now? Might just take to white rock and hope for the best

Any insight is appreciated as I am a fly fisherman by nature and she has no desire to do so. Not asking for honey holes just maybe a general idea of yes or no activity in a general area. Will pay for a guide end of next month. Just got married Oct 11 so no fun funds yet

Congrats on getting married. If she's the one asking to go, you better take her soon! There's a lot of great guides here on the forum. I don't think you can go wrong with them. If you're interested in going with us sometime, shoot me a PM. I'm no guide but we go out and have fun and I try to make it a family trip with my wife and kids when able.

Thanks on the congrats. We used to go in Nac when we lived there and the couple times she went she out fishes me and loved it. No money for guides for the next couple months but gonna try to get her out and put fish in the cooler anyways. I've converted this Dallas girl info someone who loves to harvest/catch her own food!

Your last statement...Nowadays thats about the only way to know what your eating..Saw a thing on TV while back Buying fish fillets in Restaurants/fish store that 80% WERE NOT WHAT THEY CLAIMED TO BE..They said buying whole fish was the only way to be assured that you got what you paid for..And or catch your own...

If she loves to fish you should take her as often as possible. Then she can't complain too much about the money you spend on fishing gear. roflmao
