Starless, I purchase live goldfish at lake Conroe on Calvary road at a bait store called "Sunshines". I have a buddy that owns a marina on lake Houston and he said he will check on the price he can buy them from his minnow salesman. Will let you know the price.

i know a guy who uses them. he fishes the colorado river and catches nice yellows all time. he has a small pond that he raises them in. so he has a endless supply.

I was trying to raise them in a big tank but did not have much success. If you got a small pond to keep them in you can get little ones at Petco $12.00 per 100. They were like 1"to 1.5" long. Too small for bait. They grow pretty fast if you got the right place.

Starless, down here at Cedar Creek you can buy Goldfish for 6.75 a pound which will get you 24-30 goldfish. We use them down her for fishing for Large Mouth Bass at Purtis Creek. It is absolutely the best bait on that lake.
