Hey guys, just a heads up on something you might want to try for those stained jack plates. After trying numerous cleaning techniques, I found that TURTLE WAX BUG AND TAR REMOVER will take that lake scum right off. I used a plain cotton towel. If it's brown this will take it down. I'm sure there are other solutions. Figured I would share with you guys. It surprised me how easy it came off. Good luck and tight lines you guys.

I had an Atlas plate that was pretty stained up. I got some Meguires Etching Mag cleaner and it cleaned it up nice. If you wanted to shine you could polish it out after that, but I was happy with how it ended up.
