Fished Ray Roberts for a few hours after work Thursday. This was all i was able to "catch"...

Beautiful day but not much fish catching going on. I threw a Rattle Rouser around rocky points, then a popper around weed beds along the shoreline. Nothing. checked a couple of brush piles for crappie but didn't see anything on the graph - I mean no fish, no bait fish, not even anything that looked like it might be something if you squinted your eyes real tight... nothing. But, did i mention it was a beautiful day.

Thanks for the replies guys. It was the kind of afternoon you almost don't mind not catching fish.

No sir. I thought it was an owl until I got my zoom lens on him. Turn out to be an Osprey. I did see a pair of Eagles there last Memorial Day

I have a few days catching fish that I'd trade for that.

Beautiful!

The lake may have started to turn over. That would make finding active fish more difficult.

Astro - thank you sir

Bryan - some days I think I spend to much time taking pictures and not enough time fishing. But on those cold winter nights I sit in front of the fire and look back over the season pictures I am sure glad I took the time.

Jimbo - I wondered about that. I don't much about lakes turning over but a couple of trips ago I noticed big patches of vegetation floating out in the middle of the lake and there was absolutely no wind. I also noticed that the water color had changed (?)
