I have fished it only twice. Both times were miserable heavy wind and extremely rough water. I was a little intimadated with not knowing the bay and all the horror stories about it. I really want to learn the bay because it is only 20 minutes from my house. Any advice on this bay would be appreciated. Best areas to fish? What times to fish for what here. Also, if any one is heading out any time soon and needs company, I feel that would be a great way for me to learn this bay. thanks ahead of time.

hey man, yeah baffin bay is the greatest trout bay in the world...be careful, lots of rocks, mainly around East kleberg and starvation point......my favorite spot is Tide Gauge Bar, not any rocks if you go in from marke 10A....safest way to get there is to take the intercoastal waterway....cruise down to marker 10A and head left towards the shore, watch out with the bar, u will see it, it is about 150 yards from shore, water depth is around 7 feet and comes up real quick at the bar.... i like to wade this area.....hope this helps....

Yeah baffin has been really good lately. There are rock piles around Tide Gauge Bar, be careful, they are marked with white pvc poles! There are 2 or 3 floating cabins at Tide Gauge, fish between the 1st and 2nd cabin when coming from the back of baffin, this spot has been pretty productive lately. Good Luck Scott

yup, the cabins, i named that spot the flounder hole, always catch huge saddles there....this is the lower portion of tide gauge bar, prolly east kleberg point, lots of rocks.....best way to get in from the channel is just to troll in, this is also the safest if your a beginner.....that whole area is awesome, you have a huge mix, rocks, hard sand, some mud real grassy areas with sand pockets......when you see the cabins, ur in the right area.......
