The wife and I went fishing in POC this past weekend and caught a few. Nothing to brag on but it was a nice trip for me and the wife to get away fom the "Rat Race" Saturday was nice but the wind was coming from the east and the tide was going out. Therefore at the "Big Jetty's it started to stack up some as the wind picked up some. But we caught three Kingfish, and two Bonnethead Sharks. Moved to the back bay around noon. Fished Saluria, Mitchell's Cut, Oil Well Cut area and caught some Gaftop, Kingfish (sorry didn't get pics of Kingfish), Ladyfish and Redfish. Sunday the wind blew pretty good so we scratched taking the boat out and fished Boggy for a few hours. We didn't do very good. One Redfish but mostly fed the trash fish... Here,s a few pics.

Hello Capt.
Probably so. We have a fifth wheel at Beacon 44 RV Park year 'round and we keep our boat down there at POC Boat Storage.
We come down from Houston at least 1-2 times per month to fish and relax.
We fish the Big Jetty's when we can and the back bays (Mitchells Cut, Saluria, Oilwell Cut, ICW and /or any where else that I can get my boat to......
I typically launch from Clark,s
If you see us down there come say hello. It's always good to meet other like minded people. I used to live there and know some of the guides there (RJ Shelly, Keith Gregory and a few others in the area) as I used to have a Prop Shop in Port Lavaca (Coastal Welding & Prop Service)
Maybe we'll meet one day and have a cool beverage ?

Yep Sure have .... I recognize your boat. I saw you at The Fishing Center and at the Big Jetty's before. So where is home base ? I noticed you do a lot of Striper fishing. Do you just come down for Summer/ Fall in POC ?
