What would cause my 999 with external gps to never get a fix? Also in diagnostic view it keeps flashing sattelites the. None, the. A different configuration. It does the same on internal but the fix changes to enhanced. I have the latest update i believe. Couple of months ago...i have video but cant post it from my phone.
Thanks darryl The number one cause could be low power. Did you extend the unit power cord directly to the battery with at least 14 guage wire? Do a restore defaults setting and if that does not clear it up, contact Humminbird Customer Service. Reset to default didn't help. Soldered in the wiring to eliminate the butt splices. I guess I'm calling now. Thanks

Question? I just purchased a 1199 brand new and moved my 997c si to the bow. The 997 shows to be participating in the inner link network, but I cannot get the 1199 at the console to even show the ability to participate. Any recommendations? Thanks in Advance

Thanks in Advance As stated below, the 1199 is not compatable with INTERLINK as well as any other 2014 year models. That product has been discontinued.

I have a 1-year old group 24 battery in my boat as the cranking battery. I have the 999 on the console direct to this battery. I am not exactly sure where the 859 bow unit goes to...it may go to the fuse panel which I assume is on the cranking battery as well, or is wired direct to the cranking. I went fishing yesterday and was doing a lot of trolling and drifting. I had a dead cranking battery after about 7 hours of fishing. I only ran the boat about ten minutes tops on the big motor throughout that day.
Do I need a group 31 battery or do I need to run the big motor "X" amount of minutes per hour instead of just draining it? I had to swap to a trolling motor battery to get me back to the dock.

When you don't run your outboard enough to keep it charged, you are requiring the starting battery to be a deep cycle and a starting battery. A 24 size typically can't handle that task. Most choose the largest dual purpose battery they have room for that has the MCA the outboard requires. Lots recommend the Sears Platinum Diehard PM-1 size 31.

In need of some help, I have a Humming Bird 597dHD and a Fortrex 80 / US2 24 volt. All works well until I step on the foot control, speed setting doesn't seem to matter and the depth goes from what ever is the actual depth to 30 to 300 feet. When I get off of the pedal and the motor stops in a few seconds the screen returns to normal. I have tried different settings, ran an independent ground, ran an independent hot wire, moved all of the cables away from each other and nothing changes. I have searched the thread and could not find this problem addressed. Any help will be appreciated.

It's discussed often on lots of fish/boating web sites and is not unique to Humminbird units. BTW, have you checked the fuse on the ground wire in the head??
