 Personal Best smallie from the North Country

Doesn't get much better than big smallies in the fall in Minnesota. I've been after a 6lbs smallie since I started fishing this lake and thought I finally got her. Unfortunately it fell short by a mere ounce. This bronze football weighed in at 5lbs 15oz and just barely hit 20". This smallie was the fattest fish I have ever seen and could barely even fight because it was so heavy. It pretty much just head shook the whole way to the boat. She was a personal best by a couple ounces and am super proud of this beauty. The search for the 6lber is still on!
