Big Sam alumni, how safe is it to run the bank on the south/east? side of the black forest? Looking for a shortcut from 147 to caney without having to navigate two timberlines. Is it safe at full pool and the lowest level you'd run it?

It is safe right now and should be safe for awhile. I will give you the coordinate for the stump off peckerwood and if coming from 147 to Caney you stay to the right of it you will be fine. It will be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can provide...

Well you either go from Calhoun point towards Harvey ramp then east or you run the south shoreline from Calhoun across pecker wood then east to caney

If you have a Navionics chip that shows the timberline, then trust it in that area. It's accurate through there.

I have the Boat Lanes chip for Rayburn and Toledo and I find it to be very reliable. You can get the SD card at boatlanes.com and you have to specify which lake. Well worth the money and it shows how to navigate around Black Forest.

Thanks for the help. I have the navionics platinum chip but I have a hard time trusting it for timber lines mostly because on Livingston there is timber where it's not graphed and no timber where it's graphed in spots.
