Why would the shaft need replacing? Is the 112 bigger? Are changes in the head necessary or do you use the same components?

The shaft cant be reused, so when replacing the motor a new one is required. The control box and all other components are the same.

the 112 motor is shorter and sits on the mount better than the 101 does (it doesnt roll to one side). it is a bigger diameter motor.

Would have to weigh cost vs gain...

The 112 is an absolute monster. It also balances better on the mount.

Yes i can. You will have to change your battery setup to a 36v, and maybe upgrade your breaker, but i can certainly do it.
