Close as I could get with the boat today. Neat bird.. Fishing was ok with only 2 smallmouth today....And 6 LMB...... They are letting water out of Texoma, and I heard it was going to Lavon...

Great pic!!! I saw two when I went up to Buncombe Creek on Saturday. She was up on Preston Point, I tried to get her to fly put she wouldn't leave the tree.. Ranger66 - We need to hit Texoma one day, I am in search of Smallmouths.. I need about a 5 to 6 lb to make me happy.

There are a bunch of them at Texoma every winter. Last year we got to see one dive and snag about a 14" striper out of the water 50 yards away from the boat. There were also some around Eisenhower, Grandpappy point, and soldier creek.

Cool pic and cool birds! I've seen 'em on Purtis a couple of times. The coolest memory I have of the birds is seeing one snatch a carp out of the middle of Purtis once. Spectacular!
