So the wife said.. hey what if we go campin this weekend...

Yeah that's a pretty good idea but with this weather it will tough to get a cabin since others will be thinkin the same thing.

We normally camp with the dogs but we have our first one on the way and I don't want her ruffin it too much.

We will drag the boat and the two dogs. I am not asking for your spots on the lake....

I live in Houston inside the loop and want the closest good lake to fish that might have a cabin available.

I know about Conroe and Fayette but I wouldn't mind draggin the boat to Toledo or Big Sam. (she will appreciate how pretty those two lakes are in comparison to any others)

My problem is I don't know those lakes so any input on the nearest cabin for those two lakes would be greatly appreciated. You can even throw in a few different coves in case one is full.

I know this is super late minute and its more about she and I relaxing than catching a 10 pounder.

Please dont give advice on locations that dont allow dogs or is located on the east side of the lake.

I'm not opposed to any other lake that's nice, safe and is known for good large mouth within 3 hours of Houston.

I greatly appreciate your replies.

Lake Livingston, don't know what the cabins are like, but pet friendly and not to far away. On Kickapoo creek.
