On average, which rig will catch more bass with a weightless senko style worm, Wacky rigged or Texas rigged?

That completely depends on where you are fishing. Learn both and you will be better for it.

To me they're are to many variables to justify which of the two is "better". I've caught a lot of fish both ways and I use a 3/0 hook for wacky rig and tx so changing on the fly for me Isnt a big deal. My girlfriend however only fishes a weightless senko and she throws it wacky 90% of the time and catches fish everywhere we go. The only time she throws it texas is when their is a lot of moss or grass. She doesn't like getting stuck...

Thanks for the replies. I don't have any grass where I fish, Lake Austin (dang grass carp ate every last bit of it), but there are rocks on the bottom that an open hook will hang on. I don't much like the wacky hooks with the weed guard since they come undone after a cast or two. Personally, I prefer a wacky rig except for the hang ups, but wondered how others felt.

I've caught a lot of fish texas rigging a senko but I would rather fish it wacky.. the reason is there is more feel of the bait when its perpendicular to the line vs inline when texas rigging. I think the bait has more action wacky also.

Wacky rig for me, especially on Lake Austin. I catch 3 or 4 to 1 more fish on a wacky rigged senko style worm. Lately with each end dipped in Spike It the fish have really been nailing it!

Usually tx rig before/during the spawn and wacky after. Depends on cover and sometimes they really like one way over the other.

Neither. To slow of fishing. LOL..... This. Unless they won't bite anything else. Then it becomes a must. And Texas rigged is my favorite.

you can Tx rig it (weedless) in the middle of the bait and it will react similar to a wacky rig if hanging up is an issue.

i like to use this hook on wacky when fishing spots that have weeds or trees.. also i prefer to use it on kind of clear water because is just sinks slowly and you just pull it a little and goes down again...
