A team/club is being formed in the North San Antonio Area and I'm trying to get the word out every way I can.
Who: 9-12 graders (Bring 7th and 8th graders and we can talk about their participation)
Where: Meetings will be in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area, but anyone is welcome. We anticipate interest from New Braunfels, San Marcos, San Antonio, Boerne and all points in between.
When: First meeting - December 3, 2014 at 6:30 pm at M&S Engineering (6477 FM 311, Spring Branch, TX 78070)
Cost: $25 to join the Student Angler Federation (visit HighSchoolFishing.org for more information about the high school fishing program nationwide and the benefits of a paid membership)
More information: Call Chad Nelson at (210) 827-1198 or email at chadnelson71@gmail.com

Heard you were starting a club over that way. I have got ours underway here at Ellison High School in Killeen and we are looking forward to out first season. We will be fishing the FAN Trail so I am sure I'll run into you on the water. Good Luck

Thank you. I too plan to introduce the team to FAN as a great opportunity. Jeff is doing one tournament on Canyon Lake just north of San Antonio in March to help us get better established in the area. There is a ton of interest down this way, so hoping it grows as fast as I think it will. I'm sure I will see you soon.

My Girlfriends kiddo is interested in fish the HS tournaments. We are in Medina Valley ISD (Castroville). He is a freshman this year. I have the boat and am willing to captain it for him. How does he go about entering the school?

Biscuits,
It would be a long drive to come to the meetings in Spring Branch (north of San Antonio on 281), but you all are more than welcome. We are not limiting this team to any one school or district. Most of our events will likely be north of town also (Canyon Lake, LBJ, Dunlap, Bastrop, etc) so nothing would be really convenient for you. But you never know, if he really gets into it, it wouldn't be that hard to start at team in his own high school next year. He'd just need some other kids to be willing.

My 7yr old would love to come out and watch. How would I go about staying in contact with this schedule?

There are those who love to catch fish, and those who will fish for the chance to catch.
