TPWD lists several launch sites that are either free or as little as $5 AFTER you purchase an annual sticker, for those over 65 is only $35.
My request is, which on the lake (hopefully on the Ft Worth side) is the easiest to get to/use and has most secure for tow vehicle and trailer ?
Any help is appreciated.

As far as I know the only public ramp that is open right now is the South D&D ramp, I have used it quite a bit and have not had any trouble.

South D&D. I'm pretty sure you can buy just a daily or weekly pass instead of paying the $35 for an annual pass Lee. Stop at the gas station at the 4 way stop to get your pass.

You can get a day pass at the machine at the ramp, but the store is so much easier and helpfull

I fished PK today. Launched at North D&D. No problem at the launch. Machine didn't work but I paid $5 at the store on the hill opposite the ramp. Didn't pay any annual fee...just $5 day permit. Caught many fish off points....seemed every point had fish, but alas, they were all small.

Sounds like good advice but I don't understand...

That is the name of the ramp South D & D which is on the South side of the peninsula and
North D & D which is on the North side of the peninsula. Both are past Sam's dock which I
think has a temporary unloading area. Oh yeah if I remember right it is a 15" min. on bass
on PK. That's as English as I can get.

For largemouth bass, minimum length limit = 16 inches. For smallmouth bass, minimum length = 14 inches. No minimum length for spotted and Guadalupe bass. Daily bag for all four species of black bass = 5 in any combination.

Lee, I thought the same....why would a ramp be named North and South D&D? But Castle Boykin and Pope's Landing were already taken. But North D&D is a steel grid type of ramp and it works fine, but I did have to wade ankle deep water to get from my boat to my truck which wouldn't be necessary unless you're fishing alone.

I don't think I'm going to have to worry about limits !!! But seriously, I don't keep any fish, especially bass. Purely catch and release.
I sure would like to catch a lunker and get a piture of "for sure"!!

The "store at the 4 way stop". Are y'all talking about the 4-way stop at 254 and 337 by Grayford? I'm planning on going Saturday. Will stop at this store and get day pass if it's the right one Thanks, 361V.

No, the store is at the intersection of Park Rd. 36 and FM 2353.

Got it. Thanks. Chevron @ corner of 36 & 2353. One more question before we go. Have not been to PK in years and certainly never at anywhere near this level(of course each day becomes a level no one has seen). I have GPS w/Navionics chip. Is the main lake safe to run from the dam to ???. Thanks all for the info.

If you follow the bouys you"'ll be fine running the lake. I've always just got my day pass at the ramp.
