i have a 2002 mk maxxum 74..the pull cord no longer will release the motor without me reaching inside, pulling the cord and up with my other hand. is there an adjustment to fix this.( i saw a roland martin show where he had to step on the bracket arm to get his to release).

Minn Kota's are usually pretty easy to do. I have seen motors that were mounted unlevel that were hard to undo but MK's have a loose fitting latch. Sorry no help here.
