This forum has helped me in so many ways. Pond king has reached out to me and I will be setting up a promo code on my website soon. Also I have finally got me a little 9.9 kicker. Not flying but moving faster than I was lol. Even my side view is coming in better because of the increase in speed. Check out my video looking for transducer placement but all the thanks to you guys for the support!

Congrats on the motor.

So now you will be catching even more fish? Wow.

That might be the longest mid I've ever seen. wink

Great job..... Now let's hurry and wet a line before winter gets here.

what about getting another trolling motor mount and have it in the back with a pole on it for the tranducer then you could raise and lower it as needed

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst

That is GREAT !!! Man, I couldn't be happier for you. Have waited for what seems a very long time.
Lord, LOL, now your REALLY mobile, I wonder what and how many fish you catch now...
Wish I was there with you...
Ok, just watched your video. Why can't the motor mount be modified to lower the engine some 4 to 6 inches?
That should eliminate 'prop wash' and yet still should not endanger your prop.
Just my opinion.....

How about rigging something off the foot of the motor so the transducer trails the boat beyond the end of the pontoons. Maybe start with a whale tail, then bolt a v-shaped brace of PVC to each side of the whale tail. The v-brace extends beyond the end of the pontoons. Have it hinge where it connects to the whale tail. Rotate it up and tie it to the boat when trailering, drop down to fish. Run cables though PVC for protection. Fun project to figure out!

You don't need a trolling motor for your transducer. I fabricated my transducer mount out of PVC. You can figure out how to clamp it of the side. Just drill holes in it to allow water to get in, otherwise you will be fighting the PVC to keep it submerged. Glad to see you got a motor, did you ever figure out your anchor system?
