Looking for a economical graph for it if anyone has one. Here is a pic of the boat. It's a pelican 103. It's 10ft 3 inches. Has a 50 thrust minn kota endura trolling motor. Has a live well. Taking on it's first trip as soon as the winds slows down.

a few things to remember ...if its motor powered I think it has to be registered ? not totally sure ....call the parks and wildlife folks maybe ? and if its registered you have to keep your registration with you on the water and for sure invest in an anchor as well it may also require all the floatation devices required by the state then there are all the other things required as well the list is kinda long , but I would check it out if I were you as far as a cheap graph goes you can get an ok piranha at walmart for 100 bux er so might carry 2 batteries as well with only one form of propulsion a good paddle or 2 as well and the list goes on ..... kinda strict these days on the boating regs they are .... heads up there and congrats

Thx for the advice. It came with 2 paddles, a new deep cycle marine battery, 3 life jackets, a whistle and a throw cushion. I got it registered yesterday. I think I'm ready to fish. A depth finder is coming soon whether I find one on here or not. Do the lower end 150.00 lowrances show brushpiles? I need depth, temp and the ability to see a brushpile!

Come out to Meunster Lake this Sunday and join the other plastic boaters, or ploaters as Timbertoes is fondof calling us. Heavily wooded lake with no trot lines, limb lines, pleasure boating, tubing, etc allowed and a 30hp limit. Should be a small group and big fun to be had with between 4-8 of us out there. You'll be fine this Sunday with the winds, I managed to lug mine around at full capacity pretty much in the 20+mph winds out there last Sunday, and mine is an Uncle Bucks Pond Prowler pontoon style, so not nearly as good at cutting through the waves hah! Strength in numbers anyways. Hope you can join, Richard link: http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...e_#Post10300473

academy has Lowrance 5x for less than $150. good choice. I would try for something with a gps in it if possible. Also a used Eagle 320 or 480 would work well. You should be able to find a lot of them around.

Congratulations. I know how much fun small boats can be if used properly. Years ago I fished New Mexico mountain lakes with a two man raft for rainbow trout. I also had a trolling and paddles to get around. It was a ton of fun and I could get into locations that a normal sized boat could not fish. If I was physically able I would have a small boat or a tube to fish the slips at the marina. But ketchn is right about keeping a second battery on board. Don't hook up the second battery until the first battery is discharged. This will save you when you don't pay attention to distance and cover a larger area than planned while catching fish. @Mulholland: Why would they not allow tubing on the lake? It seems to me that tubing would fit right into a restricted lake.

EZ, I think he meant no tubes pulled behind boats. Not inner tube fishing.
