I grew up fishing the stuff and cypress knees can be a "B" word. Lots of bad karma lurking just below the surface. Idling and running as much as you can on the TM giving any cypress tree you see a wide birth. When you add low water alot of big stumps start to show. The louisiana side is way worse for rebar not sure what smart guy thought metal rod is better then a stump. But if you use your head the lake is not all that bad.
