Just wanted to put in a good plug for Clark Reehm for anyone looking to take a guided trip on Sam Rayburn or interested in taking his class. Went out on a trip with Clark yesterday and had a day packed FULL of very useful knowledge. Clark is very good at boiling very deep concepts down to the real "meat and potatoes", teaching these concepts in very simple and easy to understand ways. Clark is a smart fishing mind, and I'm sure his class is packed full of very useful info as well. If you want to take a trip on Rayburn or learn a lot in a class environment, Clark is your guy

I agree with you 100%. I went earlier this year for his class on electronics and he is really in to know on electronics and how to break things down. Although we spent little time on the water, his information that he teaches in his class is hands down, worth every penny. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

Are there any such classes that are available in the DFW area? Niggemeyer, Combs, and a couple other Elites did a multiple day camp at Fork this year. That's the only one on the water I've heard of. Bass University is lecture only, but a good one if they come back to town.

Yeah I think I saw that camp but it was like $1800 a person true. Clark is the man, but you could make your own camp at Fork. Drop Shot - Cody Malone or Eric Wright Sight Fishing - Cody Malone C-rig - Mark Pack Jig - Mark Pack or Andrew Grills Cranks & Reading Graphs - Lance Vick etc, all the guides at Fork can almost do everything, but each has a few specialties.

I have fished with several guides at Fork, some more helpful than others. I guess I was focused on catching bass not learning electronics and these guys have the top of the line stuff, I'm just trying to understand my basic $500 humminbird unit.

I should better explain my situation, I take on average 2 guide trips a year to Fork, first to learn a different technique, second to learn areas to fish. Now that I have a boat to keep down there trying to locate and catch bass on my own isn't so easy. Seems locations of trips in the past have changed with water levels fishing pressure etc..so trying to learn what to look for and reading electronics as a dummy is what I am trying to learn.

Clark will change the way you do things for sure

I attended Clark's class yesterday. He really did a good job of teaching the electronics use and interpretation for me. Opened my eyes to something that I have been doing in my career for the last 15 years, but never applied it to fishing.
Now I have to apply it!
Thanks Darryl
