Taking the center console and kids to Galveston this weekend. Weather permitting would like to do some catch and release for some Reds and Sharks, both near Jetties and maybe some offshore rigs. Have been out in Port Oconner but just have time for Galveston this weekend. Boat is only 24 feet. Any areas, methods bait advice appreciated! Thanks, Todd

24 foot boat is plenty if weather permitting. Fish around the jetties for both, go through the boat cut on the north jetty and access bolivar pocket. Lots of "short rigs" visible from the beach, but if you want reds and shark, no need to go that far out IMHO. Lots of guys fishing everyday out there. Check offshore forum here and 2coolfishing also. Cut mullet, croaker and crab
