Wow, that is a lot of lures! I've been thinking that I'm going to pack light for a change, three large poppers, three small poppers, 4 jigs, a few boxes of hooks and just a handful of topshots. I'm going to stick to the core gear I use more than anything else and hope it gives me my limit of YFT. Hoping the dorado bite is as hot as it was last weekend, that would be very cool!

Tom, that's my new philosophy as well. I fish one jig and one swim bait 90% of the time, so why was I buying all this tackle?
I just cooked last of my tuna on a salt block. Anyone ever tried it? Very cool way to cook.

I'm flying back to Texas on the company jet as we are bringing it to Dallas for some inspections and interior work. Only problem is one of the pilots is waiting for his US Visa to be renewed so we can travel. If we leave on Wednesday I'm going to get off the plane Thursday at Love Field.. go home and pack in 30 minutes then drive to Port A it's going to be pure madness.  I'm set on tackle and have some new line to load up my reels, I'll just have to work on stuff on the way out.

We had Mr Wonton last night. Tiffany got this. Dave we will do our best as a group to see that happens for you and her. My daughter caught 2 YFT around 60# each and several Black Fin on her first Scat Cat trip jig fishing.

Yes Sir my in laws turned me on to the Himalayan salt block, good stuff.
Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

I just finished tying my first braid to mono splice. Looks and works pretty good for the first.
Now I'm going in to put a loop in the other line so I can try a loop to loop connection. This one should go pretty easy.

Try a 7 Twist Surgeon's loop works as good as a Bimini Twist.

Practicing no knot splicing with hollow core. I need a jig to hold the line while I wrap it but other than that it looks to make a nice connection.

Now go hook it up to.your truck bumper.. walk out about 50 yards.. get set up in your fighting harness and put 30# of pressure on it.. don't fall on your butt like I did. I never could get mine to hold well enough to use offshore
