Reports today at Lake Fork retailers shows the bite is getting hot ! Black Shad, Texas Toast and Blue Chart have been the HOT ! colors!

Nice haul. Brush piles, standing timber or both? Timber. 10 to 20 feet. Best bite was 13 to 15 feet down.

Went for 2nd time on fork and found some in Little Mustang creek. Got lucky and found a bp. No big ones but lots of them. 3/4 were 10-11" and rest were dinks. If I was keeping probably could have got a limit but early flight tomorrow so didn't want to clean fish tonight. Probably best day I have had since I started crappie fishing last summer. Will go back next time ready to keep some. Very aggressive. Would set a hook and miss and wait for bait to fall back down and it wouldn't. Would have another fish on. Got to get another anchor. It was hard staying over the brushpile correctly since I lost my anchor for the kayak.
