Which one influences the bite more? Big believer in major/minor but hoping the front gets em biting.

Cooling water will get that shallow bite going.

I'm going to say weather over moon. Experience is talking, no science. Haven't ever been able to fish every day of the moon's cycle to know how much of an impact it has. As far as weather, I think it's a state of mind. Fish eat. That's what they do. How you fish for them matters a lot more. If you think they're going to bite, you'll fish with a lot more confidence than if you think the fish won't be biting.
If you don't think the fish will be biting, and you get to go whenever you want, rather than when you can, you can either try your luck, or mow the grass.
I know, I'm no help at all.

Out of experience fishing is always good in front of a "front" and then 2 and 3 days after the front...typically.

If we are speaking in reference to this weekend...fishing should be "decent" today...poor tomorrow and sunday...and will pick back up starting monday for the next few days after that.

I'm a big solar lunar guy myself and use tables to help.

A long time ago I gave up trying to figure out the best fishing conditions - moon, weather, wind, etc. Now I just think if you can go then conditions are going to be great.

Depends upon whether the cows are standing up or laying down. They know!

Where do u find accurate solar lunar tables. I see them in a lot of places but they never match up. I fished from 7-3 today and caught all my fish in a 1 hour stretch between about 11-12. I don't pay much attention to the moon stuff, but i did get curious if that was a good period.

Farmers Almanac said it was gonna be really cold tomorrow around noon. You think they'll still bite?

I asked Jeff Kreit this very question this evening and his reply was that he puts little faith in the lunar calendar and if the night before was a full moon lite night, the fact that they fed up all night has little bearing on the daylight bite. However, fish will be more active prior to a front and during a front than post frontal conditions. If it is raining on the surface, the fish will be more active than if the water is glass flat.

We'll see as these are the conditions for tomorrow. The topwater bite in deep clear water has been hot lately and i have been gearing toward topwater applications. If the the becomes heavy in the morning, i will throw a jig because i think the crawfish will be active and become the primary forage. If that doesn't produce, i plan to use a shakeyhead. As soon as the rain clears, im throwing a spinnerbait and deep running crankbaits. This is my plan. Curious about other suggestions but validate your theories.

Yesterday at 11am did not correlate with moonrise/moonset or meridian passings.

However, yesterday at sunrise it was very cloudy with low airpressure, then it cleared up quickly with rising airpressure and was very sunny till about 10am. The clouds came back and the airpressure started falling back down at about 10:30am.

I have been using the Solunar tables for a long time, and I think that its probably about 50% accurate in my experience. I have a Casio Fish N Time watch that gives me the majors and minors for whatever lat and long I have it programed for. They are about $50 and keeps good time. Also, I have found this website.. http://www.usprimetimes.com/7day.html

Good luck
