I just prayed for this little angler. I have a son his age and it breaks my heart to hear. God is the great healer, and surgeon. Pray in faith, and thank God for healing this little buddy of ours. Ask with faith, pray with faith. Please keep us posted.

I will be leaving Friday to visit Anthony on Saturday in Memphis. If anyone would like to send anything with me to give I would be happy to deliver it. Aaron's is donating things for me to take, as well as prizes for the tournament.Grande Bass and Gamma Line are also making generous contributions for the auction and tournament. I do not want to ruin the suprise so I am not going to post the particulars. Rick Carter is trying to get some tackle for me to take to Anthony. If anyone would like to send anything just email me your telephone number and I will call you to make arrangements.

Thank you again everyone for all of the prayers and thoughts. Please keep them coming... Anthony will have to undergo yet another surgery to relieve the pressure off his brain that is building up and causing more problems. The surgery is scheduled for Monday.

I wanted to remind everyone who may live close enough to Trenton about the BBQ dinner, bake sale, and auction this afternoon at the Trenton elementary school. My understanding is that the doors will open at 4:30pm but dinner will not be served until after 5:00. Cost for the BBQ will be $5.50 w/ water and tea being provided. My wife is making a couple different items as I type and let me tell you the smell has me eager to get there and start endulging... smile

Trenton is about 25 miles NE of McKinney on Hwy 121 or roughly 20 miles NW of Greenville up Hwy 69. Coming from the North it is around 25 miles SE of Sherman. The elementary school is inside town so you will not be able to see it from the highway.

If you need directions you can call me -- 214-738-4508

I'm back from the benefit and it was a great success. A HUGE Thank You to Rick and Larry for coming up to Trenton and showing their support for this family. Ranger Pro Staff has some true class in the two of you and I am proud to say I know you now. Your donations of equipment, money, and your time will never be forgotten. If I am not mistaken, your efforts raised nearly $1000 tonight -- AWESOME!!! clap cheers

I do not know the exact numbers but I'll say this... What transpired tonight was a true testament of our good Lord working. The turnout was much greater than I expected, the donated items for the auctions and raffle were great, and the generosity of those in attendance was tremendous. It is great to see a community come together and work for the good of a family in need.

If you were unable to attend this event, you will still have a chance to help out. Rick and I discussed it some more tonight and the current target for the benefit bass tournament will be late January before all the circuits kick off and it will be on Lake Fork. We will keep you updated as we work out all the details but it should be a great event for all.

Here are some pictures from the event. I walked in with the intent of taking a bunch of pictures but ended up only taking a few and giving my wife a break from manning the bake sale table -- and socializing of course smile. The bake sale raised, to the best of my wife's recollection, well over $300.

This horseshoe metal art brought $300

Some of the items on the Live Auction table

The Silent Auction tables were at least 30 yards long

Great job and Thank You to all those who worked so hard to put this event on and make it a success!

Prayers sent.

Can you post an address to mail a gas card? That sounds like a good suggestion.

As a matter of fact I do fish like a girl!

Shopping with my husband is like fishing with the game warden!
